Hybrid semantic candidate matching engine built on pgvector, Gemini, and Meilisearch, ranking talent by verified competency rather than keyword presence.

THE HARDEST ENGINEERING CHALLENGE:

Making semantic matching return results a recruiter would trust. Pure cosine similarity produced false positives; ranking had to be hybrid with visible match rationales rather than black-box scores.
